Fairview Heights Police Department

We have chosen to share our work with the City of Fairview Heights Police Department because is represents how The FOURCE works with clients of all sizes.   Police departments across the country have seen a dramatic decrease in recruiting new officers and Fairview Heights was no exception. They approached The FOURCE for help with connecting to younger audiences and engaging their residents in a new way. Our approach was to go local. We interviewed, filmed and featured all Fairview Heights Police staff in order to reach the new demographic. Then we created a new website that just launched in March 2019. The timing of the site was to coincide with their recruitment efforts and exam. Within 30 days, the department had over 55 applicants come through their new site within the targeted demographic of 20 – 35 and more women and minorities than ever before. In 2018, the department only had 5 applicants. The site featured texting and real time chatting with the recruitment team at all hours – which was key to engaging this younger demographic.
